In my nature class this quarter, we were pretty much allowed to do anything we wanted, and to explore the world and parks around us. I had a really great time in these parks this quarter, so i hope you enjoy what came out of it!
The central idea of my concentration for this final project is abstraction in nature. I want my viewers to see my images and ask themselves what is it? And have to look at the image to figure it out based on the geometric patterns, shapes, textures, and colors I have chosen. I chose this as my concentration because I love how the angles of plants and trees form. I also like the intrigue and mystery behind figuring out the image.
The work reflects my interest in showing everyday beauty in objects and nature that everyone doesn’t normally take the time out of their day to really look at, because they appear to be ordinary. The reason I chose abstraction in nature as my final project is so you don’t miss things in life, and to show people there is beauty in everything, it just depends how you look at it. In my work, you can see the little things of life from different angles, perspectives, and reflections. this project was important to me because I want to show the hidden beauty behind it, and to remind you to look around once in a while.
